Reason 1 :
If the water pressure in your area is higher than 8 bars (116PSI), the mechanical water timer maybe not suitable to install on tap. Because the ball valve inside of mechanical water timer which drive ON/OFF is by a motor & gears. It’s not powerful enough to work at high water pressure.
