Innovated Water Volume Timer

~Watering your life wisely~

Control the water irrigation by "accurate water volume"...... no more time period setting.

For example :
Watering one time a day (CYCLE TIME : 24 hrs)
If : TIME    6:00
     START 7:00
Water Flow Volume 10 Lit.    <Unit for U.S. is Gallon ; for Europe is Liter>
     MIST CYCLE 30 %
     CYCLE TIME 1 DAY

Watering will begin at 7:00
Duration of watering time will be executed as :  <because mist cycle is 30%>
   Waters 3 Lit/Gal, stop for 10min
   Waters 3 Lit/Gal, stop for 10min
   Waters 3 Lit/Gal, stop for 10min
   Waters 1 Lit/Gal, then stop

<Total spend 30mins for STOP and watering times for 10 Lit./Gal.>

The next START TIME will be renewed as 7:00 (7:00 + 24hrs) on the following day. So, CYCLE TIME : 1 DAY means watering one time a day.

So, build-in programmed CYCLE TIME is 1 hour which calculated by programmer automatically.
However, if CYCLE TIME set as 1 HR, which means that the START is sequentially shown 7:00, 8:00, 9:00, 10:00……….. Which, also means watering 1 time per hour and repeats.

Under such situation “CYCYLE TIME set up 1HR”, if watering time plus stop period longer than 1hour totally, the next START time till be delayed 1hour automatically.

Basing on such rule, watering more than 1 time a day is shown as following table :

Number of watering times          CYCLE TIME to be set
                  1                                              1 DAY
                  2                                             12 HR
                  3                                               8 HR
                  4                                               6 HR
                  6                                               4 HR
                  8                                               3 HR
                 12                                              2 HR
                 24                                              1 HR

Water timer makes your hanging plants live well

Hanging plants are a challenge to water, especially if they are high or scattered across the garden and patio. To save yourself the trouble of having to lug buckets and watering cans or drag long stretches of garden hose to keep your hanging plants hydrated, consider installing an automatic watering system that will take care of the chore for you. The one-time installation will make sure all your hard-to-reach plants are regularly and adequately watered without fail.

It's not difficult to set up!

Go with Yi Zuo's professional water timer

~Things You'll Need~

Measuring tape
Backflow preventer
1" Polyethylene tubing
1/4" Polyethylene micro tubing
Drip irrigation connectors
Hose connectors and end cap
Emitters
Twist ties

~Step by Step~

1
Sketch the layout of the watering system. Draw the locations of the hanging plants relative to the water source.

2
Measure the distance between the water source and the farthest hanging plant to determine how long your main line (the 1-inch poly tubing) should be. Measure the heights of the hanging plants to determine the total length of the feeder lines (the 1/4-inch poly micro tubing) you will need. Depending on the locations of the plants, tap one feeder line to the main line and use it to water one hanging basket or branch out one feeder line to water several hanging plants at once.

3
Assemble the water system. Lay out the main line, attach the micro tubing lines to the main line, attach connectors to the micro tubing if branching out, then attach the emitters to the ends of the micro tubing. Attach hose connectors and end cap to the main line as needed.

4
Secure micro tubing feeder lines to the hanging baskets. Gravity and water pressure will eventually dislodge the emitters and micro tubing from the hanging baskets; twist ties will keep the tubing in place.

5
Connect the irrigation system to the water source. Attach the backflow preventer to the main line to ensure that water from the irrigation system does not flow back into the tap. Connect the water timer to the faucet to control the delivery of the water. Then attach the backflow preventer to the timer.

6
Test the water system. Turn the water on and check all the connectors and junctions for any leaks. Check the emitters for proper placement and effective watering, and take note if the water pressure is sufficient.

7
Set the timer. Choose the frequency and duration of the watering; the schedule should be adequate for all the hanging plants.

8
Check the water system regularly for clogged emitters, leaks and other maintenance issues.

Why to choose a high quality solenoid-valve water timer?

Reason 1 :
If the water pressure in your area is higher than 8 bars (116PSI), the mechanical water timer maybe not suitable to install on tap. Because the ball valve inside of mechanical water timer which drive ON/OFF is by a motor & gears. It’s not powerful enough to work at high water pressure.

Reason 2 :
In case, you need a long lifetime & durable water timer for your garden irrigation. You must choose the solenoid valve timer. It’s driven by copper wire coil & metal piston, performance over 10,000 times ON/OFF functional inspection by Yi Zuo (KANZ) company.

The water timer which could reduce your bill and save your money!

Water timers are wonderful time saving inventions that can be purchased for as little as forty dollars or less.

They enable you to set a predetermined schedule for a sprinkler to come on or to feed soaker hoses.

Plants thrive best when they are watered regularly. What causes shock to many bedding plants is too much cycling of dry and wet soil.

A water timer keeps you beds the same moisture all of the time, allowing roots to grow deeper, reducing water use.

You may want to start off at one time setting and gradually reduce it over the coming weeks as the soil loads up with moisture.

Keep the water timer out of direct sun or place some kind of shade over it since direct sunlight can shorten the life of the plastic housing and the batteries as well.

And …..
Battery irrigation timers are the most popular method for automatic watering, due to their easy programming and their reliability.

Check out our VOLUME WATER TIMER OF WF-8LCD.
-The power starts with 9V battery.
-Special and different from other water timers is, if you have specific idea about how much water you want to use
only per day for watering your lawn or garden, the water timer has the options of 1~999 Liter/Gallon you can
choose to set up. And from Mon ~ Sun whenever the day you need to water….

For example:
Watering one time a day (CYCLE TIME : 24 hrs)
If : TIME               6:00
   START              7:00
Water Flow Volume    10 Lit (or Gal)     <for U.S. is Gal. / for Europe is Gal.>
   MIST CYCLE        30 %
      CYCLE TIME        1 DAY
   Watering will begin at 7:00
Duration of watering time will be executed as :
       Waters 3 Lit/Gal, stop for 10min
       Waters 3 Lit/Gal, stop for 10min
       Waters 3 Lit/Gal, stop for 10min
       Waters 1 Lit/Gal, then stop

<Total spend 30mins for STOP and watering times for 10 Lit./Gal.>
The next START TIME will be renewed as 7:00 (7:00 + 24hrs) on the following day. So, CYCLE TIME : 1 DAY means watering one time a day.
So, build-in programmed CYCLE TIME is 1 hour which calculated by programmer automatically.
However, if CYCLE TIME set as 1 HR, which means that the START is sequentially shown 7:00, 8:00,
9:00, 10:00………..

1                          1 DAY
2                          12 HR
3                           8 HR
4                           6 HR
6                           4 HR
8                           3 HR
12                           2 HR
24                           1 HR

Watering your Lawn and Garden with more efficient way to save water...

The great civilisations of history know the importance of irrigation. From the Egyptian communities of the Nile, Babylon and Rome they all built cisterns, reservoirs and canals to bring life giving water to their communities.

Professional gardeners know that without the right amount of water, timely placed, plants do not thrive.  It is always clear which gardens are irrigated: their beds look alive, their plants flower for longer and there are no visible gaps.

Our passion for conservation understands that we are a steward of our resources. We should have used the most water efficient systems, eliminating waste and ensuring that the cost is at a minimum.  We maintain the systems to ensure optimal performance, the controllers simple to operate.
--- Water Timer --- Installing on your tap, to set up specific days and duration to
                                            water/irrigate your Lawn and Garden.

--- Sprinkler --- Using the tap adaptor to connect with hose, then to
connect with Sprinklers for watering your Lawn and Garden
regularly from the program setting of water timer.

Our Sprinkler choices...

How to test the sprinkler timer you bought?

Many plants require water during the coolest part of the day, rather than the hottest. Some plants require a very small amount of water whereas others require a large amount of water. If you are concerned about your sprinkler timer not working when it should, test it to determine if it works properly

1. Although the exact method will vary depending on the brand and model of timer you own, the process is relatively similar for most models.
For example of our water timer #WT-058 :
Press the "Menu/O.K." button for 3 seconds on the control panel.
The prog. set as ON.
Then set up the weekdays of today
Set when to start watering time <set up 5mins later than current time>
Set the “Run Time” = watering period of how many minutes. <set 3 mins>
Set the Mist cycle for split the watering period. <set 1 mins>
Se the “Cycle time” from 1hour upto 7 days  <set 1hour>
Set which weekdays you wish to water your lawn with Raindrop icon <set today’s weekday>
All above step can press the up/down arrow to adjust the figures.
Once you finish the setting, the screen will flash once & get into set program.
< However since you are testing the sprinkler, set the watering time for 15 minutes from the current time of day.>

2. Press the "On" button on the control panel. The valve will open for 30 mins. And count down from 30 to 0 min. You can check it with your watch.

3. Wait for the sprinkler to come on. Timer it with a clock inside. The timer should come on at the exact time you set and then turn off after the exact duration you set. If it does not perform properly, you likely have a defective unit

Take care your potted plants with water timer - WT-058

Not every one could own a big garden with wide lawn. However they could also enjoy the green life with the potted patio plants. Potted patio plants are beautiful to look at and a way to decorate outdoor living spaces. The biggest problem with potted outdoor plants is that the soil dries out much quicker than plants in the ground or even indoor potted plants. While you can monitor the moisture levels when you're at home, taking a vacation presents a problem. To resolve this, set up your own automatic watering system to keep the patio plants alive until you return.

1.       Attach an electronic water timer to the end of an outdoor water faucet by screwing the nut until it is tight. Use the instructions provided with the timer to set it to come on for one or two hours each morning.
It depends on the real situation, you could water from 1 to 199 minutes according to your needs with WT-058. Do not forget to set the watering weekdays from Monday to Sunday. Under some conditions, you don’t have to water the potted plants everyday.
For example, to water the plants one hour in the morning on Monday, Thursday and Saturday. Set run time 60 minutes in the morning, set the cycle time for 1 day and the working day on Monday, Thursday and Saturday, the timer will star to water in the morning for one hour and restart again in the next programmed day.
2.       Attach a soaker hose to the bottom of the water timer.
3.       Stretch the soaker hose around to the nearest patio plant pot and wrap it loosely around the plant. Push the hose down so that it sits on top of the soil inside the pot.
4.       Stretch the soaker hose to the next patio plant and repeat the procedure to insert the hose into the pot. Continue using this method until the hose is wrapped around each plant that requires watering.
5.       Return to the water faucet and take the water panel from the timer, you could set it in your comfortable place. Connect the panel to the body and start the programmer. There is a cover to protect the LCD screen, if you need to check the watering time, just open the cover and see the digital screen.
Yi Zuo’s water timer makes gardening an easy activity for your daily life.

Timing is Everything - How to program your irrigation controller (#WF-8LCD timer w/flow meter)

You can literally save thousands of gallons of water in your landscape, and save your plants from drowning, with the proper setting of your irrigation controller. But you can't just set it and forget it. You need to change the watering schedules as plants become established, with the changing seasons, and when it rains. Here's two setting example to guide to make setting your irrigation controller easier.

Current Time: 2:16

Start Time: 2:30 (a specific valve will open to irrigate a station or zone)

Program (1) :

If given Water Flow Volume setting= 10 Lit/Gal, and  MIST CYCLE = 20% (The timer waters for 2 Lit/Gal, stop 10mins. (for regular STOP), then repeat)  Number of watering times = 100% ÷ 20% = 5 times
Min. cycle time: 4 stops x 10 min. = 40min. + watering period for total 20 Lit/Gal different water pressure spends shorter/longer period time

Program (2) :
If given Water Flow Volume setting= 20 Lit/Gal, and  MIST CYCLE=30% (The timer waters for 6 Lit/Gal, stops 10mins, then repeat.)  Number of watering times=20 Lit/Gal x 30%= 3 times x 6 Lit/Gal and 2 Lit/Gal surplus (means min. watering   times is 4)  Min. cycle time: 3 stops x 10min = 30mins (Total minutes of watering period + MIST CYCLE) 30mins ÷ 60mins = 0.5 hours + watering period for 20 Lit/Gal
So, CYCLE TIME is programmed as 1 HR automatically.

Manual on/off buttons let you run through an entire program whenever you want a supplemental watering.

- The way of irrigation management -

A water timer is a device that controls the flow of water for garden irrigation and is a common feature of automatic sprinkler systems. Water will flow for a preset amount of time, or until a specific volume is dispensed, and then turn off. The water flow is controlled by a valve that blocks it until the desired time or conditions. There are two basic types of water timer, mechanical and digital, and both are very useful for conservation. It is important to ensure that water timers are in good operating condition, since a malfunction can result in unrestricted water flow that can cause damage as well as extra expense.
Irrigation, or supplemental watering, is required in many areas to maintain a healthy lawn and garden. A water timer can be a valuable aid to ensure that irrigation is accomplished in the most efficient way possible. This is done by limiting irrigation to the necessary amount of water for an appropriate length of time. Some types of timers allow water to flow for a set time and then turn off to prevent overwatering. Others accomplish this goal by measuring the volume of water that has passed through and shutting off the supply once the selected that amount has been dispensed.
The two basic categories of water timer are mechanical and digital. A mechanical timer is usually placed directly on the hose and is set by hand each time it is used and doesn't need batteries or other power sources. The amount of time or volume of water is selected by turning a dial. The hose is then turned on, and the water will flow until the appropriate conditions are met and the valve shuts off. These timers are useful to prevent overwatering caused by turning on the hose and then forgetting about it
Digital water timers are a bit more complex and usually run on battery power or get plugged into an electrical outlet. They can be set to automatically turn the water on and off at selected intervals. They are commonly used in conjunction with automatic sprinkler systems and can be programmed to water daily, several times a day, a few times a week, or other options. This type of water timer is particularly helpful if a user wants to water at optimal times of day, such as early morning, or irrigate some areas more often than others. It's important to check on the proper operation of these timers frequently, however, since malfunctions can leave the water running, thereby costing money and possibly leading to flood-type damage.
